With the constant updating of FBN nightlies (bonded with MAME releases), I wish to stick to the latest stable version instead.

Would it be possible to downgrade or for someone to please share the 1.0.0.2 stable core (0/1, 2/3 & 4 binaries)?

I remember using it around May for a little while, then it switched to nightly again.

Thanks in advance, stay safe :)

@matchaman 1.0.0.02 is not the latest "stable", it's the latest "release", which is something mostly arbitrary we intend to do from time to time. Current WIP includes dozens of new fixes and as such is way more "stable". I would never recommend using an older version of FBNeo since it pretty much means you are giving up on any kind of technical support : we have no time machine so we can only provide support for current WIP.

I see, I understand that support regards only current versions. But in a more general sense, what if for example current "emulator X" breaks support for "game X"? Do previous revision binaries get archived in some repository (like github's commit history) or is waiting for a new version the only option?

The issue should be reported to the author so that he can fix it, in the case of FBNeo the fix will usually be available within a day. We can't fix issues we don't know about.

No, if you want an older version, you would need to build your own binary using command line, or to find a backup.
