Pair Retro-Bit Bluetooth Controller
-
Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 4B+
Power Supply used: USB-C, 15W
RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1
Built From: Raspberry Pi Imager - RetroPie 4.7.1 (RPI 4/400)
USB Devices connected: Keyboard, SNES controller
Controller used: SNES controller (works), Retro-Bit Mega Drive Controller with Bluetooth (doesn't work)
Error messages received: none - see description belowhi all,
i feel kinda stupid, but i couldn't find anything that helped so far... i am trying to pair a "retro-bit mega drive / genesis wireless 8-button arcade pad" with retropie. i'd like to use the onboard bluetooth controller, no extra usb adapter.
i find the controllers in the retropie setup but i can't pair them. i tried all 5 options / security modes (displayyesno to keyboardonly). nothing happens afterwards and i guess, the system is just waiting for an input of this controller. pressing buttons wildly hasn't helped so far ;)
with CTRL-C (from the keyboard) i can cancel it. afterwards i see the controller as registered, but not as connected.so, i guess the question is hopefully pretty easy for everybody who has this kind of controller: what do i press when i want to pair them? (START + B doesn't do anything, at least not in that moment)
thanks for reading so far.
cheers

ok, i solved it myself. and here's the solution for all future "truth seekers" ;)
i updated some packages:
apt update #refresh catalog
apt install bluetooth/oldstable bluez-firmware/oldstable bluez/oldstable pi-bluetooth
rebootafterwards, the pairing worked as easy as it should.
