I'm trying to see if there is some solution on here that someone has figured out for this problem. I am running Retroarch on Mac OS X Catalina on an iMac 2012. I have four Dragonrise USB controllers that are set in a specific PHYSICAL order on the cabinet I created. I want to be able to designate the far left as "player one," the next one "player two," the next one "player three" and the far right "player four."

I understand that Macs work with a Bus USB, which makes me think that I won't be able to assign a specific port to a physical USB port. And there is no way to get an instance_id on the Mac... the Device IDs are all the same, so I don't see anything obvious I could pull from that. Is there something I'm missing? Some configuration that I can force somewhere?
