almost like my TV is muted, but its not. volume is up as well. was using kodi on my retropie last night perfectly fine, then this morning the sound isn't working when I turn it on. Tried restarting a few times and no luck. There's no sound on kodi, or when I play a game.

      Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you using HDMI or Jack for audio ?

Have you adjusted any settings ?

Hey man, something similar happened to me, my problem was that I putted ON the amplifier AFTER the rpi was ON, so, try to put on all the electric appliances before the rpi.

Try to use jack and test it.

I have no sound either. HDMI from the Pi to the TV, TV volume is way up and I hear nothing.

@suprjami said in Retropie has no sound??:

                    Edit /boot/config.txt and set hdmi_drive=2

                    Try that.

Try this had the same problem, I myself found that if I boot my Pi 3 st8 into Kodi, then exit kodi to retropie I have sound..

I also went in my retropie-config under retropie menu and set all audio out to HDMI

                      Hope this helps

@ferdnand if you set hdmi_drive=2 in the config.txt you wouldnt have to go into kodi.
