      @raspberry79 if it's set to boot to Kodi then no matter how many times you reboot, it's always going to boot to Kodi.

      When i try to exit, same thing.

      That seems wrong though. When you exit without rebooting, it is supposed to load EmulationStation after.

        yes, that what it should do. I keep hitting the enter key on the keyboard but kodi keeps loading instead of loading into Emulationstation. Just trying to figure out how to fix that issue.

                  autostart.sh should be small enough to paste in a message here. Just put the content between code blocks:

                  ```
                  ...like this
                  ```

                  (Those are back-ticks.)

                      @raspberry79 yes or you can connect a keyboard and access the terminal (if you can quit Kodi without rebooting. Otherwise yes SSH would allow you to check remotely.)

                          From EmulationStation you can press F4 on an attached keyboard, or on a controller press Start and then choose Quit.

                              No, we need to see the contents of that file. Please type:

                              cat /opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh

                              ...and show us what it says.

                                    20220711_211008.jpg

                                    Do anyone have the same problem or is there anyone who can just exit kodi and load into ES

                                      The autostart.sh is ok, it instructs the system to boot kodi and (when it exits) start emulationstation.

                                      What might happen is kodi crashing on exit and then automatically restarting, thus not allowing EmulationStation to start.

                                      Go into Kodi settings, choose System and then in the Input sub-menu, go to Peripherals and disable the CEC Adapter. Then restart your system and see if exiting kodi still has issues.
