I have done a Fresh install of Retropie from Raspberry Pi Imager on 3 separate SD cards, Using a Raspberry Pi Zero V1.3 as well as a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B V 1.2 and have tried my keyboard as well as gamepad buttons.

With all of these different combinations I am getting to the configure controller screen and when I setup the buttons on my controller when I get to the end to press ok I can never press Ok and after a few seconds it crashes.

Any direction where I can figure out the issue would be much appreciated.

EmulationStation will crash if the connection to the input device is not reliable and the device gets disconnected frequently. Are you using a proper power source for the Pi, do you get any under-voltage warnings ?

@mitu I am using the below power supply. I am not getting under voltage errors.

          CanaKit 5V 2.5A Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Power Supply/Adapter (UL Listed) https://a.co/d/13dhCOV

Can you please add the full details about your setup asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ?

Try running EmulationStation manually from the command line (after it crashes) with

            emulationstation --debug

and post the last error shown on the screen when it crashes ? I still suspect there's a connection issue with the controller, the crash is usually indicating a bad connection (controller disconnects immediately after being detected).
