Pi Model or other hardware: pi4
Power Supply used: org pi4 psu
    RetroPie Version Used: 4.8
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website (retropie-buster-4.8-rpi4_400.img)
USB Devices connected: USB Keyboard, Dragonwise USB controller
    Controller used: Dragonwise USB Controller
Error messages received: When I launch a game it says the DragonWise USB controller is not configured
    Verbose log (if relevant):
Guide used: I just read the docs
Emulator: I've tried different, MAME, gamegear
    Attachment of config files:
    How to replicate the problem:
I just installed it, and configured the controller at boot. I have a digital joystick and 8 buttons connected to it.

I'm brand new to this, so of course I could be doing something wrong, but I don't see what?
I've designated two of the 8 buttons to be start and select, and select is also made to be hotkey.
So in theory I should be able to exit out of the Retropie by clicking those at the same time, but it doesn't, which of course is because it claims the controller is not configured.

Update the RetroPie-Setup script and then all installed packages (more details on how to do that are in the docs). Since you're just starting, you don't need a backup.
After the update, restart your RetroPie system and re-configure again the controller, then see if you encounter the same issue and same 'not configured' message.
