      Hello, my topic title says it all. FDD is a supported file format in the PC98 core but my Retropie system doesn't want to recognize them as being there. It looks like almost all the games are FDD as well. How can I solve this problem?

        I think it's the same situation as in your X68k system post.
        Apply the workaround in that post or wait a bit until the list of extensions is updated in RetroPie-Setup.

          Update your Retropie-Setup script and then reinstall the PC98 core and restart EmulationStation - after this the .fdd extension should be recognized by EmulationStation automatically.
