You can choose the emulator used for a particular system and/or ROM from the runcommand launch menu.
-
@mitu thanks, its working. Is it any possibility to get better quality of boxart?

Can you be more specific - what are you referring to ?
-
@mitu use scraper download image, boxart and quality very low
-
@Majekaz Which scraper ?
Artwork is usually coming from the a website like screenscraper.fr/thegamesdb.net/openretro.org, some of them have higher resolution artwork, but most of them are not. You can use an external scraper (like Skyscraper/AARM) to choose a different artwork source, but ultimately the source site (where the artwork is hosted) is responsible for the images/videos provided.
Of course, you can replace the images with your own - if you have it - just by overwiting the scraped images or just adding your own. See the docs for the format of the gamelist file which holds the path to artwork/video/metadata/etc. -
@mitu i found how to add manual through raspberry os, but it takes very long to do every single one.

@mitu do you have raspberry pi and using as emulator? If yes do you bother to put better quality images?

I don't care that much about high quality images on the front-end.
-
@mitu can i ask you about active cooler? I have one but it spins only on startup and after this it stops. Is it alright if it not spinning?
-
@Majekaz it's programmed only to turn on once it hits a certain temperature. Till it does. It will just sit there
-
@ExarKunIv thank you
-
@ExarKunIv few times i got crash emulationstation on startup. Its saying try to set carbon theme back or set gpu on high. I have pi5 raspberry OS 64bit
-
@Majekaz sorry. No idea.
As it's been mentioned in different posts. Retropie support for the pi5 is not complete yet. So there is and will be issues.I know mine will just lockup for 5 min for no reason.
They are working on it. I can't even start to tell you where look for what's going on in your system -
@ExarKunIv okay, i thought its just i have this problem. I know how to make run retropie on startup but is it possible to run it through desktop? In terminal i tried emulationstation but doesn't work. Do i need to write in something else?
-
@Majekaz Retropie is not designed to run through a desktop.
You can but it can lead to issues. I don't know how to do that.As I use it with out a desktop as it was designed for.
