I will try that the next time i am on but im slowly giving up as all the emulators jave problems with them an i dont have that much time on my hands...still need to work out dreamcast, n64 and mame. 4 days so far on psx alone

beetle will be unplayabley slow on a pi. lr-pcsx is the only option.

OP, you're not giving us much info here. show us the exact file name of your BIOS file and where you have it, and the same for all the files for the game you are trying to run. the problem will be in one or both of these things.

I have all roms as .cue in rom/psx folder and it shows on play list in emulator and the bios are in the bios folder i put scph1001.bin in here tried under various typings still nothing

give us full written examples and paths.

.cue is the tiny cuesheet file. it needs to point to a .bin. give us the full path and name of both.

the bios is only acceptable in one format: SCPH1001.BIN - do that and then give us the full name and path.

Your BIOS is in the right place, but you're missing the CD image.

The cue sheet is a description of a CD image.

Here's the Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey (U) 1.0 cue sheet: http://redump.org/disc/1858/cue/

Let's look at the contents:

$ cat "Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee (USA) (v1.0).cue"

FILE "Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee (USA) (v1.0).bin" BINARY
  TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

So to use this .cue file, we need a file called Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee (USA) (v1.0).bin and that .bin file contains the contents of the CD.

Does that make sense?

It may be easier to get PSX2PSP EBOOTs of the games you want to play. These are a single file with a .pbp extension. They work in the lr-pcsx-rearmed emulator.

Aah yes i understand the info i used to create the .cue file never mentioned anything about .BIN files aswell i will redownload later and put it on...how do i create or get a .pbp file if its simpler?

You can use an original image file and the program PSX2PSP, it's easy to find, but you need a working PSX CD image to start with.

Or just search Google for "PSX on PSP eBoot ISOs" and you'll find many out there.

You'll find most of them contain a directory and a file called EBOOT.PBP but that's just for use on a PSP, you can rename the file to whatever you want, such as Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee.pbp

Oh right i see so i would then get the eboot.php file and place straight in the retropie/rom/psx folder anf this should then work?

@boris85 Yes, that's right. You can also rename the EBOOT file, so you'd have like:

RetroPie/roms/psx/Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee.pbp

@boris85 to rename the eboots i use a program i believe was called bulk rename. It can take all the folder names and rename all the files inside the folders the same name so you can rename all the eboots in a matter of minutes. Just make sure you unzip them all and place the different games folders in one common folder.
