      Hi!
      I set up my Pi 5B 4GB with Retropie yesterday and it mostly works fine, but N64 roms instacrash with every emulator.
      I expected /dev/shm/runcommand.log to tell me what went wrong, but unlike on my PI 4B that I was using before, this file does not even exist.

      I would appreciate every help I can get, and will provide any additional info necessary.

        Have you added ```
        kernel=kernel8.img to /boot/firmware/config.txt ?

          @sugarfree said in Pi 5B 4GB: N64 roms instacrash with every emulator, /dev/shm/runcommand.log does not exist.:

          kernel=kernel8.img

          Yes..

          And after rebooting that kind of fixed my runcommand,log, as in that file now exists, but the only content is that it executed mupen64plus-next (the last emulator I tried just now), there is no error message or any mention of it failing to run. Yet it still instacrashes.

            This might work, add this line into /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg

            mupen64plus-next-cpucore = "cached_interpreter"

                @Slick I suggest opening a separate topic with recommended information: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
