    Hypseus/Daphne Dipswitch issue/dubs... help me to made correct choices here...

      I'm having serious doubts about configuring the dipswitches for the various Dragon's Lair titles and similar games.

      I want to take each case individually and find the best solution, so I would say let's start with Dragon's Lair “Lair” using the F2 ROMs.
      I'm referring to what is said here:

      If i understand correcly we have that:
      -bank 0 it's switch A from A7 ... A0
      -bank 1 it's switch B from B7 ... B0

      My current lair.command contain this setting for bank:

      -bank 0 10011101 -bank 1 01000111
      

      In theory with this settings i have set this:

      • 5 Dirk for game at A5 = 0
      • Enable Easy difficult at all with B7 = 0. Whit B=0 at 0 A1,A2 and B4 has no effect at all
      • Enable the attract sound at all. If understan correctly it's need to set B1 = 1 but after that B0 = 1

      With this title, there's one thing I can't get to work! Activate “Continue” at the end of lives.

      The continue feature.. in theory it's part of PAY-AS-YOU-GO but i can't understand how it's need to be configure that it's make me CRAZY like an hell:
      Start to read on official documentation right now with A6 = 0 and B5 = 0 i can continue to play for three times and i can also to restart the games from beginning after the games it's completely won/end.

      Ok.... here i have tryes so many configuration and or it's present some bugs on hypseus or it's not work. This doesn't seem to be working.
      Am I doing something wrong?

      By google i have found in same forum a very old thread here:

      It's suggest a configuration for lair.command But there's something I don't like about that configuration, like only 3 lives instead of 5.
      I tried to adapt it as explained, but there's no way to make it work. Is it really that difficult?

        So this is the thing that you also discussed in the Hypseus Discord which was working all along?

        Just you completely misunderstood what "Pay-As-You-Go" meant. Nothing to do with "continue" after you die, but in fact a "scammy method" to earn the Arcade owners more $$$$ by making you pay more credits to "go" further and complete the game after certain in-game "checkpoints".

          Worth noting the above here for posterity and the DLP page that described the checkpoints in PAYG as discovered by @DirtBagXon .

          Pay As You Go interruption point
          When the PAYG option for 2 interruptions per game is enabled, this is the 1st point at which coin(s) are required to continue play.
