Updated from RetroPie 3 to the latest version.
I moved my roms and bios over and I see that my mame-mame4all is currently working correctly.

However, my \roms\mame-libretro (lr-mame2003) fails on every game.
      For example:

      /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh: line 827: 3106 Segmentation fault
      /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-mame2003/mame2003_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/3super8.zip" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg

      Did something change?
Is there a way to solve this?

I rebuilt all the main section binaries yesterday - and it's possible something has gone wrong (I did update my cross compiler). I will check. In the meantime, you can re-install lr-mame2003 from source to see if that helps.

I can confirm it segfaults on that particular game, but other games seem to work fine (eg 1942).

is that a game that used to work on it ?

'3super8.zip' is not a game in the MAME 0.78 romset, so no, it never worked :)

@johnes are you using a MAME 0.78 romset? your mame4all romset (MAME 0.37b5) will not work.

I never even checked to see if that file existed! heh - of course it should not segfault on an unsupported game though but return an error :)

                    OK, so this was helpful!

Turns out I had built by romset

                    Place your lr-Mame2010 ROMs in
                    /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro
                    Romset Used: .139

The directions said to put both lr-mame2003 and lr-mame2010 in the same mame-libretro folder. So It seems I just need to figure out how to default the emulator to lr-mame2010
