Retropie unable to detect Competition Pro USB Joystick SL-6603-TWT
-
I'm trying to use my USB joystick Competition Pro SL-6603-TWT. So far in vain.
I've borrowed a Competition Pro SL-6602 that connects with no problems.Normal procedure: Input devices. Hold down a key on the device.
Successfully detected a Logitech USB Gamepad, a USB joystick Competition Pro SL-6602.
When attempting the same procedure with the SL-6603-TWT nothing happens. Nothing is detected.Retropie 4.0.2.
Have attempted sudo apt-get update/upgrade/dist-upgrade. No change.Can anyone help?

@NearlySatient Correction: Slot 1 and Slot 4 !

I asked you to use a site like https://paste.ubuntu.com/ for posting the log - to avoid a load of unformatted text dumped on the forum. I will format your post after, but please next time either format your post, or use an external site as requested.

You are using a bluetooth device also ?
The joystick doesn't look to be recognised. It may not work or may not be compatible with Linux. have you tried it on another machine ? Also how are you powering your RPI3 ?
-
@BuZz Powered using standard 2.5A power supply. I have tried using the joystick on a Windows 10 PC with no problems.
-
Then my best guess is that it just isn't compatible.
You could try it on an Ubuntu Live CD on your PC to see if it's a problem with Linux in general or the Raspberry Pi/Kernel. (You can use jstest-gtk to test it).
