@Rookervik SNES version, maybe its just because I love that game.

@Rookervik soundtrack wise, it's hands down Hyperstone. Gameplay, I'm all in Turtles In Time. That's only because of the countless hours button mashing I wasted over a weekend rental with it back in yesteryear. Those tend to weigh in on my vote.

          Currently Playing: Tetris (Gameboy)

Hey, title says it all. Musical comparison. :P Genesis had slightly higher resolution, SNES had some better graphics for sure. Gameplay... was actually pretty close to the same. But MUSIC.... man Hyperstone killed it. :D

In particular, the orchestra hits on SNES were delayed a little, sounding sluggish, and the snare drum cut off before it finished playing. The guitar also had a mighty deep filter on it making it sound like it was coming from a speaker under your bed mattress. While the Genesis used FM synth for most instruments except a few such as the snare. Sounds a lot more crisp.

Sega Genesis is a very underrated console. I been playing on original hardware using HD Retrovision cables and some RGB BNC cables for a Sony PVM-14N6U.

We modded one with a MegaAmp, so when hooked up to a stereo receiver, the Sega is seriously amazing in sound.

Back on topic, Turtles in Time for SNES is amazing on all fronts. But Hyperstone Heist was a little gem that never got the spotlight it deserved. I think it's a solid game all around as well.

Thanks to this thread I've had this soundtrack stuck in my head for the past few days.

Just in case anyone else wants this earworm:

                Genesis/Megadrive

                SNES/SFC

And just because, the arcade version
