hi, sorry if my English is not perfect.
I have a raspberry 2 and wanted to update the whisker version 4.0.2 in the new one.
I selected the option "All Installed Packages".
After just ask me if you want to upgrade "kernel, etc." and the recommended option is "yes".
He has started to update and after 13 hours still has not finished.
But what is the right option to upgrade packages without having to wait all this time?
Perhaps it should be said "no" to the option of "kernel, etc?" ... Or is there another more specific heading?
      Thanks for your help

Low quality / slow / broken sdcard ? Or your system is unstable and has crashed ? (https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - you don't provide any details about your setup)

It shouldn't take that long to update the kernel - takes a while to unpack the headers etc, but it shouldn't take that long.

You (and everyone who experiences this) have updated every single package from source, while having too many things installed. It literally takes ages to compile everything. Just update via binaries next time :)
