Bluetooth PS3 Controller doesn't reconnect after standby
-
If you don't use the PS3 controller for a while and the emulationstation screensaver activates (default 5 minutes) then you can't reconnect the controller until you reboot.
Also it doesn't turn off the controller when shutting down, the light stays on and the controller goes to standby which uses up the battery.

I just realised it has nothing to do with the screensaver. If you leave the controller idle for a few minutes until it goes to standby, when you turn it on again it doesn't reconnect. You have to reboot. Does RetroPie only detect Bluetooth connections once and when it's connected it never bothers again unless you reboot ? Can anyone else try this on their Bluetooth PS3 Clone Controller please ?
Note: The last RetroPie I used excessively was 3.6 I think and that never had this problem. If the controller went to standy it would reconnect when pressing the PS button.

Pi 2
RetroPie 4.1 (Fresh Install)
Installed PS3 driver (Gasia Clones) -
Could be related to an incompatibility with your joypad. The clone support is not ideal, and I wouldn't recommend those joypads for retropie. Nothing I can do about this one I'm afraid.

Is there nothing that looks a bit suspect in the scripts etc. ? I cant afford to spend £30 on a different controller like the 8bitdo range that needs kids hands to use ! (Their latest one is about an inch, how are you supposed to play games with that ! Lol). It used to work fine on older Retropies.

Nothing I know of - and I don't have one of these controllers. I have a real PS3 controller which works well.
