No Devices Detected

Hello,

Just got my first RPI. Very excited. However, I am running into an issue where no USB devices are detected buy my device.

Pi Model: 3
RetroPie Version Used: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website (https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/releases/download/4.1/retropie-4.1-rpi2_rpi3.img.gz)
USB Devices connected: Leopold Keyboard FC200RT/KB, PS3 DualShock 3, iBuffalo Classic USB Gamepad (none of the devices were detected)
SD Card: SanDisk Ultra 64GB (SDSQUNC064G-GN6MA)

I used Apple-PI Baker 1.5.1 to burn the image to the micro SD card. On initial boot I had all the devices connected, and nothing was detected. I also tried multiple boots with only a single USB device attached. It will boot and then just sit at the welcome screen saying no devices detected. No keypresses on any device are detected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are the specs of your power supply ? Did you try with just the iBuffalos connected? (and did you hold down a button for a few seconds)

CanaKit power supply
Output: 5V 2.5A

Yes I tried with hooking up just the iBuffalo gamepad(s). Also tried holding down buttons, and nothing.

I SSH'd into my pi. I ran the install and also did an update and still nothing detected.
Here is the output from lsusb - t:

What is the output of dmesg

It's possible you have a faulty rpi3.

I can only think there is a hardware fault - you could ask for help on the official raspberry pi forums to see if anyone there has another idea https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/

It looks like the devices are detected (see below)? Not sure what the deal is though. Going to try a fresh install of retropie 3.8 instead of 4.1.

The ethernet is detected, but nothing that you have connected.

I noticed you updated the systems packages / kernel - Might be worth checking with just the 4.1 image without updating first, although if a Kernel update broke usb, I would think there would be a lot of people talking about it.

I updated installed packages / kernel in hopes of fixing the issue. No devices were detected even with a cold 4.1 install.
