      Hi All,

I've build a cabinet with 2 sets of sticks and buttons using the GPIO on the RP3. That works. But for some games I would like to use PS3 controllers. So now I also connected 2 PS3 bluetooth controllers. However, all games still only "respond" to the stick and buttons on the GPIO. The PS3 controllers can only be used for player3 and player4 what hardly any game supports.

Is there a way to dynamically switch the controller to a different user? So I can play with player1 on the GPIO controller, but after changing some setting I can use the same game to play player1 using the PS3 controller instead?

I've googled for this and tried a lot with the retroarch config but could not find how to achieve this.

      Hope you can help,

      Regards,

      Arjan.

@mammaplank @meleu has created an excellent script that helps you set controllers in the libretro emulators. It's in the Wiki and I've used it pretty successfully in my PSXPi build.

Retropie in a NES - Pi 3 with Mausberry circuit shutdown switch wired to buttons and 8bitdo NesPro30 controller
Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver
        Retropie in a PSX - Pi3

Thank you so much for your quick response! And Meleu for the great script. I found it at https://github.com/meleu/RetroPie-joystick-selection and it indeeds works perfectly.

          Thanks!
