    Hello everyone,

I just started using retropie 4.1 on my raspberry 3 B.
So far im loving it but i encountered some issues on the way:

Kodi launches to a black screen and after a couple of seconds crashes back to the emulation station menu.

The other problem is some snes and nes games having choppy audio.

Can you help me with this?
    I would appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance!

I searched the whole wiki before posting this and found nothing related to my kodi issue.

        Pi Model: 3 B
        RetroPie Version Used: 4.0.1
Built From: i dont know, i bought a raspberry pie on ebay with retropie and kodi already installed
USB Devices connected: keyboard and usb drive

Do you need more information than this? Sorry, i just received the raspberry pie a few days ago, still pretty new on this.

@pedroledo I'd recommend either going back to the seller for support as they shouldn't be selling RetroPie software as it is illegal, or downloading and installing a new image from the official source and trying to follow the wiki guidance to get kodi working.

@pedroledo unplug your ps3 controller. And yes we don't provide support for illegal images. Start from scratch. Who knows what else they installed on there...

I don't have a PS3 controller as you might have seen in my other post.
Anyway, i'll delete everything on the SD card and do a fresh install and then i'll report back.

By the way, this is what i bought off ebay:

@pedroledo Anything listed on eBay selling these ready made images are illegal. Reporting them to eBay does very little coz 4 pop up again for every 1 taken down. They're just profiting off the backs of everyone here who work hard in their spare time on RetroPie.

I would urge you to reimage your SD card with an official build and then the community will be more than helpful in assisting you with any issues. And, if we are really helpful, please consider donating to the project.

Unplug any controllers and plug in a usb keyboard It worked for me. I have an xbox wireless controller and it worked fine. For some reason no matter what i plug my wireless controller into the retropie sees it as #0 and confuses it with the keyboard. so now it only works with the keyboard
