      Hi,

I have installed retropied on Raspberry Pi 3. It all works good.

As soon as I plug my USB drive filled with ROMS, EmulationStation seems to NOT load and I'm stuck at a terminal (command line). I remove USB and still stucks.

I flash again my retropie image on sdcard, everything is fine. I plug my USB.. boom stuck again.

      Thanks for your help!
      JP

        What version of RetroPie ?

Are you mounting the USB drive for roms, or just using it to copy roms over ? If mounting it you may have the wrong permissions perhaps.

If using to copy roms, you should wait till ES is loaded, to avoid it breaking trying to access any part copied files with the wrong ownership.

Contents of /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/es_log.txt may help (use formatting as described in the post above)

          Hello,

          Pi Model: Raspberry Pi 3
          RetroPie Version Used: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
          USB Devices connected: PS3 controller + DataTraveler G4 64GB

As I said, right now everything works fine. My roms are on my SD Card.

When I insert my USB with roms in it. It seems to corrupt my retropie... I'm stuck at a terminal command and it shows kernel version, cpu temperature, but no way to get back to usual retropie interface..

          Thanks,
          JP
