Retroarch problems [RetroPie 4.1]

Hello! I've been using RetrPie since the last 3-4 months and I'm quite happy. I found it easy and comfortable even though I'm not related to linux environments.
The thing is I was trying to play to ZDoom, so I was touching things in Retroarch. Not only I can't play Doom properly, but also my D-Pad configuration and the combination of keys to exit games will open the Retroarch menu. In addition to this, my CPS1 and CPS2 won't load at all!How can I go back to classic d-pad use and regular exiting key configuration?
I'm using RetroPie on a Raspberry Pi 3B with a XBOX 360 D-Pad.
