No ROMS showing in RetroPie

Model: Raspberry Pie 3 (B)
Retropie 4.01
RetroPi website using SD image
2 xUSB SNES style joypads

Please can someone help me? The roms’ do not show up on RetroPie and no sign of the emulators’ to that effect.

I was trying to mainly use the SNES and MAME emulators.

Also the roms for snes that i used are "killer instinct" and "super mario karts".
I installed "gorf" and "galaxians" on mame

What Emulators? There are 6 SNES emulators and 6 MAME emulators.

What are the file extensions on these files? Where have you placed them?
in /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/snes?

This is a bad post. It shows that you haven't really read up about mame at all. Mame is a beast not to be messed with. Mame will hurt you if you don't look after it and treat it well. It can affect you psychologically. Do a quick search on here and you'll see the pain that others have suffered at the hands of this behemoth. They all tried to tame it without following guidance.
