Dreamcast + Xbox 360 Wired Controller

Hey y'all,
I'm having a helluva time trying to get my 360 controller working with recast. It's working great with the installed N64 emulator, but it doesn't seem to be picking up the custom mappings I set in
/home/pi/.reicast/emu.cfgaccording to this wiki page, where I pasted the stuff under "Xbox 360 Controller".Did I miss a step?
As it stands, the left analog stick and the (dreamcast) B button seem to be mapped properly, although nothing triggers Start and the left/right buttons on the d-pad seem to be triggering up/down.

Power Supply used: 120v power adapter
RetroPie Version Used: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: Xbox 360 Controller
Controller used: Xbox 360 Controller
Error messages received: n/a
Emulator: reicast -
Care to share your custom mappings .cfg file so we can look for typos ?
