Help a girl out!

I have a RaspberryPi 0 set up with RetroPie for my 7 year old to play old school games, and I having GREAT difficultly trying to get my Hyperkin Inc. Sega Genesis "GN6" 6 button USB Controller calibrated properly. Now before you go linking me to 20 different user guides and tutorials from RetroPie, and Google, I've tried them to no avail, they just don't tell me enough. My problem is this:
- I am a COMPLETE NOVICE in Linux, and don't really know what I'm doing inside the GUI.
- I am visually impaired so it's all the more difficult for me to navigate it properly.
What I need from someone is a STEP BY STEP (every single step) Guide as to how to get this properly calibrated.
Can someone help me please? I'd really like to give this to my child as I am already 2 months late on this Birthday gift.
Thanks in advance!

@KokoPebbles Please use descriptive titles for topics - Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
(Understand you are visually impaired, but I assume you are able to read the website/forum via large fonts/high constrast/text to speech etc).
What problem are you having with the calibration? I'm not sure anyone can do a better step to step instruction than our existing official documentation. I have no idea what guides you have read but this is the official one -
https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/
Please follow that and go into more detail what you can't do etc.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
