      Piterial
So, I wanted a Material Style theme, but the current one did not match what I wanted, so I created this one. It's very simple, it uses SVG resources from the Carbon theme, and a textured background to create a clean focus.

This is a non-meta theme using only the box art.

The license says it as well, but please take this and alter it for your needs as well.

Select Console Select Game Select Game SNES No box art screen - Basic Select Game N64

      Get the theme from here.

I hope someone else finds this useful. :)

@SystemLogoffSA I like a nice, clean theme. Great background too. Any rhyme or reason to the background colours or are they just randomly chosen?

Also a suggestion: Maybe put some images in the readme.md, so people finding it GitHub know what it looks like. Or maybe a link to this thread or something.

Background colors were mostly picked via the dominate color in US marketing I remembered at the time. Wonderswan got Blue/Orange because it seemed to fit.

Some consoles have no color, if you want to suggest one, go ahead. I'm happy to pick fitting ones for consoles that have none.

Also, good idea with screenshots, will do.

Edit: PC posting is easier than phone posting.

@SystemLogoffSA I don't really have any suggestions, and your idea of keeping them close to the marketing colours is a good one. On MetaPixel I (think I) tried to keep all the system colours similar eg: all Nintendos had a shade of blue, all Segas had a shade of red, all Sonys had a shade of grey, etc. That kind of thing.

@SystemLogoffSA Great theme! I love the simple and flat style!

I still have the issue with the cut off text at the bottom of the games list (~1/3 cut off) in version 0.5 though. I'm using 1080p resolution.

@AlexMurphy Maybe tone down the backgrounds a bit.

@lilbud Too busy or too bright? I could decrease the background pixel size or change the opacity to darken them down. It's all a matter of personal taste I suppose, that's the fun of having so many customisation options on RetroPie, no two set ups will be the exact same.

@lilbud I agree. I was really just adding elements and changing stuff to see what was possible. I actually prefer a much more simple, uncluttered lay out.

How do I add this to my retropie, is there a tutorial?

Will anyone make a meta version of this? I know I'm working on a dark version of this theme.

Also, that background is amazing. I might use it with your permission.
