When I was a little kid I thought both of those games where made by the same developers. Didn't realize until later that Hudson made one and Sega made the other.
Also I've been wanting to play through Doki Doki Panic (I grew up with Super Mario Bros. 2 as well). -
Translated version of Ys VI: The Dawn of Ys on Turbographx plus Bomberman '94 and Dr Mario with my wife :-D

still on final doom! realised i wasn't playing on ultra violence, so restarted. harder now! i'm about half way though the 'master levels'. some nice ones here, but nothing super memorable. i hear the TNT evilution and plutonia chapters are better.

Actual playing "KLAX"....last time played somewhat in the nineties, but still cool.
Just find myself grinning about the sound when a stone is falling down.... sweet memories..

We put the baby to sleep and then we've been enjoy playing Kirby's Avalanche and I've been replaying Pokemon Yellow while she sleeps listening to the music. We love replaying all our games from our childhood more than the new games...I've gotten sealed WiiU games we haven't gotten to yet!

@geneworld I still don't "get" Pokemon. Should I just fire up my old Pokemon Yellow cartridge from when I was a kid? What am I missing? I can't seem to get involved in the game. It just feels super grindy.

@obsidianspider Oh it is I grew up playing Pokémon Blue from the day it was released, it is just one of those games where the sounds and graphics brings me back to my childhood. Hell I have it as my phone's ringtone and get compliments all the time. Grindy? Yeah it can be depending how you play, that's how I play so that I can perfect my team and to be able to catch them all! lol Hey if it isn't for you then no worries play what you enjoy. I keep going back to this game over Pokémon Moon that I bought on launch day too haha.

@geneworld I picked up Yellow when it came out and never really got into it. I'm sure a CIB Yellow is probably worth something, but for now it sits in a box of games ;)

Nintendo's 'Advance Wars' series is going to be an ongoing thing until I beat them all, but I got 'Brutal Doom' up and running this week, which makes for a nice contrast between battles. I still can't believe how absolutely over-the-top gory that game is. Tonight I shot a demon's jaw out the back of his head with the shotgun after making bloody stumps of his legs and he actually dragged his gushing remains across the floor in what looked like an attempt to put it back in his head. It's so graphic, I half way expect Joe Lieberman to come knocking on my door and try to take it away from me.

@Capeman My wife kicks my butt at Tetris. I don't have the attention span to play for long without getting bored, but she just keeps going and going.

My wife and I have been playing Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island since last week after finishing Mario Bros 1, 2, 3 and World.

I actually let someone borrow my RetroPie over the weekend so I didn't play anything on my RPi. So what did I do all weekend? I played the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Open Beta on Uplay. It has gotten mixed reviews but I thought it was fun, especially playing co-op with a friend.
I played the beta all weekend myself. I even preordered the game just today. It's one of the few games that got my attention in over a year to play again on my Xbox One. Hope i can get it done until Mass Effect Andromeda gets released at the end of the month tho. :D
Since i've spend the last two weekends to get UAE4arm and ScummVM up and running on my Pi, i'm going to play some classic adventures this weekend. Like Discworld or Curse of Enchantia. -
I played the beta all weekend myself. I even preordered the game just today. It's one of the few games that got my attention in over a year to play again on my Xbox One.
I think I'm going to pre-order it soon as well. GamersGate had the Gold Edition of the game for $79.99 (20% off)!
Hope i can get it done until Mass Effect Andromeda gets released at the end of the month tho. :D
That also looks like it should be a great addition to the Mass Effect franchise!
Like Discworld or Curse of Enchantia.
I need to give those 2 a try sometimes! I missed both of them when they first came out.

Monkey Island (The Secret of..., Lechuck's Revenge, and The Curse of...), Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max Hit the Road, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Just spent about 40 minutes playing 'Bound High!' for the Virtual Boy. With a pair of red-blue anaglyph glasses, this is quite a fun game with a really nice 3D effect.

Update: Got Breath of the Wild, it is truly amazing. And a time sink too.
