Why failing to save game process of FFIX in PSX?
-
I experience that no games can be saved. After power off my raspberry pi 3B, all memory is lost. I am thinking how the memory system can work in retropie.
Hardware: Raspberry Pi 3B
Emulation: PSX -
Did you quit the emulator before shutting down? By default retroarch only writes the save file to disk when you quit.
-
Have you tried other games? I don't know about default saving like @lostless mentioned, I just setup a folder for all my saves and it works like a charm.
-
@lostless No, I did not quit the emulator before shutting down. How can you do it?
-
@leoleopold Default hotkeys for quitting the emulator are start + select.
-
@lostless Yes, save state can be saved by Select + R1 and loaded by Select + L1. You can change the save state Select + arrow-key-left/right. I think it works. Thank you!

Those are called "save states", I thought you had problems with the normal in-game saving. Well, enjoy FFIX it's a great game.
