Raspberry Pi 0 & Hardware requirements for Retropie 4.1
-
Hello.
I'm aiming to build a retropie machine able to run at best emulated psX games.
Here is what i saw on your website Building your own retropie MachineGiven the caracteristics of the raspberry pi 0 i want to use retropie with :
- 1Ghz, processor Broadcom BCM 2835 single-core
- RAM 512 Mo
- Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n
Would a raspberry pi 0 be able to properly run psX games on retropie ?
Also :
The hardware requirements especially precise
- 8 GB Micro SD Card Minimum
- Ethernet or Wifi dongle (built in on the pi 3)
Would a 4GB Micro SD Card be able to do the job if games are not on a higher platform than psX ?
Does the line "- Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n" fulfil the followed requirement about the wifi dongle? Or is internet connection essential for the raspberry pi and retropie in order to run psX games? Thanks by advance for any attention you gave to my topic.
Hoping i brought every details needed for answers.
Kind regards. -
pi 2 or 3 are the minimum for psx emulation.
network/wifi is irrelevant as you don't need the connection once your roms are on the system :)
storage is an issue as each game is 300 to 2GB+. it depends on how many games you want to have loaded.

Too bad, i'll have to think about either only play older games, or actually buy other pi than pi 0 ^^'
Good news for the network !
For the storage, its only a matter for the games? good news too!
Thanks a lot for the answer.
please don't lock the topic yet. Have a great day!

Hello! I don't have any Raspberry , but I have miniPC with configuration:
CPU Rk3066 Dual Core 1.2-1.6G (Cortex-A9) + Quad core mali400 GPU
RAM FLASH 4GB/RAM DDR3 1GB, support microSD up to 32Gb
It works with Android 4.2 now.
Can I use any Retropie version on my miniPC? Or it impossible?
