      Hi everyone,

Sorry for such a specific question! I know how to take screenshots from RetroArch, but I can't seem to figure out how to take screenshots from EmulationStation's menus. What would be the best way to take screenshots from the menus?

      Thanks!

@MrWillie raspi2png , a capture card, or taking a pic from your phone.

Thanks again. I will check out raspi2png immediately.

@MrWillie Here is how I add it to my pi:

                git clone https://github.com/AndrewFromMelbourne/raspi2png

                sudo cp -a raspi2png/raspi2png /usr/local/bin

                Then to take a screenshot:

                raspi2png -p SCREENSHOTNAME.png

@MrWillie I wrote up a guide on taking and scraping your own screenshots. (See here )

I wanted to do a universal one rather than just RetroArch but I found there were quite a few limitations with raspi2png compared to the native output of RetroArch.

I wrote up the details here: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/1242
