Possible compilation of retropie on odroid xu4?
-
Hello there. I saw the c2 and c1 are supported and was curious to see if the xu4 was also supported here by the development team. I have a couple of xu4 boards i prefer to use for emulation over the pi 3 for later systems (n64, Dreamcast, psp), because of the power level of the xu4. I've used other distros on those boards and liked the results and wanted to see if retropie could run as well. Any information? Thank you

Are you comfortable with linux commandline etc ?
You can try a manual installation and force the odroid-c2 platform (which may work as odroid-xu4 linux is aarch64 I assume?) - and assuming the sdl2/retroarch mali backend works ok.
sudo __platform=odroid-c2 ./retropie_setup.sh
please also post the output of
cat /proc/cpuinfo uname -a
(Please put it in a code block - http://commonmark.org/help/)

Ok. I'll give it a try when I'm back worth the xu4. I'm on the road right now.

No dice. Couldn't get the sdl2 to compile since the XU4's circuitry and GPU are different and couldn't compile the cores and framework for RA. So much for that plan. Running Ubuntu MATE 16.04 for the XU4. FYI.

@Shockwave wouldn't it be armv7-mali for platform on an odroid-xu4? I'm trying it now, I installed debian jessie and I've just started running the script, will update later on

looking forward in your results, retropie is the best imo and it would be perfect of Xu4!
