      Hi Dev team,
      Thank you for your hardwork.

I'm having a problem when saving file to memory card when playing PSP and PSX games on recent release (Retropie 4.2).

      • It says No memory card found. It happened to every game on my library.
      • I do fresh install retropie several time, but the problem still occur
      • Everythings fine when reflashing my mmc back to retropie 4.1
      • Emulator used: lr-ppsspp and pcsx-rearmed

Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Do you have the PSX bios file?

yup, the SCPH1001 .bin . Still no luck on saving to memory card. On psx, it can save, but when I restart the game and load the memory card, it didn't save the data.

I'd like to bump this, i'm having the same issue. The .srm files are appearing in the same folder as my roms, but whenever I try an in-game save it doesn't "stick" i.e. if i immediately try the in-game save again, the first save is nowhere to be found. And yes, i have tried resetting the rom directory write permissions to no avail.

              Using Pi 3B
              Canakit P/S
Retropie Version 4.2 (all installed packages updated as of this morning)
              Using Dualshock 4 controller
              Emulator: lr-pcsx-rearmed

I have this same issue, sometimes when I save the game in the game's own saving system, it creates save file, but sometimes it vanishes without reason.

@dd-indeed It looks like it could be game-specific. I played Star Ocean 2 last night and the in-game save worked for it. But when I play Legend of Dragoon it doesn't. Both are played with lr-pcsx-r and both are run as bin files. I wonder if they each need a different BIOS? Is there a way to choose a specific BIOS for a specific game?

Could be about the bios yea, but it also would be nightmare to start to test them out with different bioses, would take ages.

@dd-indeed Would you have to start the game fresh each time? Or could you just put one BIOS in the BIOS folder at a time and try to run an old save state? I have about 10 BIOS's and I don't think it would take that long to try it.

I have experienced the same issue in RetroPie 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3: the the *.srm file gets created when doing an in-game save, but the game can't seem to find the save file when you go to load your saved progress. I have tried various BIOS files, unfortunately without success.
