Pi Model or other hardware: 3
Power Supply used: Official Pi Power Supply
      RetroPie Version used: 4.2
      Built From: Binary + source
USB Devices connected: Keyboard, mouse, joypad...
      Controller used: iBuffalo SNES
      Emulator: Amiberry

      How to replicate the problem:
When setting custom controls in the Gui, none of the customisations take affect.

I tried adding left and right mouse clicks to L and R, as well as space and enter to X and Y, along with Joy stick up on B.

Standard up down left right and fire buttons work, but that's it.

Anybody else got the same issue in Amiberry on Retropie version 4.2 (binary or from source)?

I've not had luck with the custom controls either for what it is worth, but haven't messed with it too much yet.

@vretro Like hubz, I messed around with uae4arm and amiberry about 4 weeks ago. The axes of the "fixed" controls were the wrong way round for my arcade joysticks. I couldn't customise the controls from within amiberry's or uae4arm's menu either. I would have had to have physically rotated my arcade joysticks instead - not a possibility.

Like hubz, I wound up using xboxdrv to remap the controls. In my case, I remapped 2 of my arcade joysticks as against the default controls in amiberry. Apparently, using xboxdrv, you could remap your mouse to the default controls too, but I haven't tried that. Search "advanced mapping guide" on the forum. mediamogul is the guru.

@spud11 thanks for the xboxdrv tip.

Looks like someone has filed a bug about custom controls in Amiberry:
            https://github.com/midwan/amiberry/issues/63

Hopefully custom controls gets addressed at some point, thanks for confirming it isn't just my setup @Hubz

I didn't realise custom controls were not working and made a bunch of individual configurations for various controllers I have, then made them selectable from EmulationStation by pressing A after picking a game.

I've encountered this problem myself and also noticed that Amiberry's non-working custom controls menu doesn't allow you to fully remap your controller to the CD32's joypad setup. For instance the Red and Blue button options are missing and there's no way that your controller's start button can be remapped.

It looks like some progress had been made with custom controls in Amiberry: https://github.com/midwan/amiberry/issues/63

I've noted that I can now map keys such as space / return to joypad buttons, but still unable to map mouse clicks or joystick directions to joypad buttons.

I had the same problem and found a solution: the Remote Pi app!

It works like a virtual keyboard and mouse in one. Now you can type all keys and F1 etc. without mapping. And the mouse function is good too for Amiga use.

                  https://remotepi.io

And this app I use to check memory and shutt down the Raspberry Pi:

                  Command Pi

                  Hope this helps!
