WIFI keeps turning off/forgetting its settings

    quite simple problem.
    i setup the wifi and everything works fine.
    but if it isnt used for a while it disconnects and never reconnects even after a reboot.

    if i go back into the wifi settings after this has happened, its all blank as if ive never entered any settings before.

    how can i solve this issue please?

    retropie 4.2
    pi3 b
    using internal wifi on the pi
    connected to netgear nighthawk router
    using wpa2 psk
    hidden ssid

      I believe the WiFi connection information is stored in /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

      # RETROPIE CONFIG START
      network={
              ssid="???"
              psk="password"
      }
      

      You might have to add more information about this "hidden ssid" like described here:
      https://www.thehecklers.org/2015/02/27/how-to-connect-raspberry-pi-to-hidden-ssid/

        Actually, have a look at this document:
        https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Wifi/#hidden-ssid

        I think you need to add wpa-scan-ssid 1
