@stevep Save the changes? That depends on how you are editing the file. Are you doing it on the Pi using nano or a windows machine using notepad++ or on the Pi PIXEL desktop using leafpad or ...? You get my point, I'm sure. If you are going to ask a question you really need to provide some details or be a bit more clear in what you are asking. I'm more than happy to help but I'm not a psychic and I can't be arsed guessing.

You can also use the built-in Configuration Editor.

@mediamogul Manually edit non RetroArch configurations does not launch. Just tried it.

It's working on my end. It can take a few extra seconds to load if you have a lot of config files. If it's still not working for you try the selection beneath it for 'Manually edit all configurations'.

@mediamogul Yeah, I don't use it myself but it was just crashing out and about 7 lines appeared in the terminal very quickly. Where would the log for that be? Runcommand?

I'm not sure. It's worth taking a look.

@mediamogul Just tried all and it crashed back to the menu as well. No biggie for me but would be nice to debug. EDIT:The RetroArch and libretro options work fine btw

@mediamogul Nope, nothing in /dev/shm/runcommand.log pertaining to it.

Hopefully, it's an isolated incident. You don't really hear many people talking about the Configuration Editor on here. I used it frequently as a new user and still do when I'm traveling... or too lazy to seek out my main computer.

@mediamogul Yeah, no big loss. I'd rather edit via samba and change the files using notepad++ as I have access to the full root directory via samba or do it on the Pi itself using nano.
