WIFI setup error: does not show any wifi networks
-
Hello everyone, im having trouble with the wifi config.
When i get to wifi setup, on "connect to wifi network", it just shows "0" (wich when clicked loads for a while and then "unable to connect") and "Hidden ESSID", it does not show any wifi networks, and i know for sure there are at least 10, i can see them from my phone and computer. i have tried many things i googled, like using wifikeyfile.txt. things i tried:
Manually setting /etc/network/interfaces to support WPA/WPA2 (by following the instructions on https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Wifi ) to no result
Manual Configuration of WPA_Supplicant, via the same page mentioned above.
i would also like to point out that "sudo iwlist wlan0" says wlan0 is unknown command.
i use a raspberry pi 3 model b,
with the latest retropie build.i think the problem is somewhat related to the wifi part of the machine not being turned on or something. i am new in this technology
please help as every other solution ive seen on the internet hasnt solved my problem.
