    Built from Retropie 4.1 Image
    Updated All Installed Packages
    My Config File (/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/joy2key.py
    ): https://pastebin.com/UwymkMrr
USB Devices Connected: 128 GB USB, DS4 controller (wired), and USB dongle for wireless keyboard

Runcommand will recognize my keyboard 100% of the time when attempting to scroll or select something. With my Dualshock 4 controller, however, I would venture to guess it picks up about 1/3 of the inputs that I make. In every other setting (RetroArch, EmulationStation, Mupen64plus, etc.) I have no issues with the DS4 (other than a deadzone issue in some but not all Reicast games).

I have a backup SD save that I could use (also having issues getting lr-MAME2010 to work after update trying update from Source and Binary multiple times... Binary installs pretty much nothing), but I'd rather attempt to try to fix this first.

In the past, I've also had some weird things happen where my 'A' and 'B' keys would randomly switch, only in RunCommand.

Any thoughts? I would be happy to include a pastebin of any other configurations that may be helpful.

@hooperre actually the file you posted isn't your config, but the actual joy2key code. :-)

Recently joy2key was changed to get configs from retroarch-joypad config files (I posted about that here). So, the files we need to take a look are those at /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/YOUR_JOYSTICK_NAME.cfg.

Post your problematic joystick's config file http://codepad.org/ (select the "Plain Text" at the left of text box). It could be pastebin, but I'm behind a restrictive proxy now...

@hooperre there's nothing wrong with your config file.
Does the issue happen only with DS4 controller?
Does the issue happen in RetroPie-Setup menus too?

@meleu F310 Controller and keyboard work fine. Plugging in the F310 seems to improve how often it recognizes the DS4 inputs while the F310 is plugged in, but it's still not every time I press a button. Would say 90% of the time. Unplugged the F310 and back to ~50% or less of inputs being recognized on the wired DS4. Happens in all text based menus including RetroPie-Setup.

@hooperre looks like something related to the DS4 controller (maybe the driver), not exactly a joy2key issue. Sorry, I don't have a DS4 and am unable to help further... :/

@meleu That's okay! I've had a few issues specific to the DS4. I guess I'll just roll back to my last SD save.
