@red2blue it's obviously for psx in game freezing. There was a fix for similar issues a few months back, related to vibration.

Or scrape lower resolution images/videos, or batch resize them yourself, or use a faster SD card/USB drive, or move to a USB drive if you're using a SD card...

There are so many possibilities. We're kind of flying blind here as we don't know anything about your setup.

                Best of luck.

What format do you have in your drive, where the games are ? I noticed, that when I changed the format from FAT32 to NTSC, the issue in the actual gameplay was gone.

If you aren't using the hdd for movies, you're better off getting a large USB stick for faster reads and less power usage.

@pjft As mentioned in original post, im using a usb drive. it stores all my retropie system files, and my roms and videos and images.

Everything is updated to latest version.

The theme is ComicBook but it will freeze on any theme, doesnt really matter which theme i use.

The scraping is from UXS, there isnt a option to resize or compress.

@dd-indeed its FAT, but i'm pretty sure FAT is suppose to be the format your suppose to use? if i change the format i would have to reformat it right?

Yes it is, because it's supported by every system. But if you got it fixed up, good. But if not, you should try it out with other USB stick instead, so don't yet format your main drive, if it's not going to work in the end.
