      Hey guys!

First off I'd quickly like to say I'm new (please don't beat me!) and I'm loving RetroPie, my first attempt doing anything like this and it's great fun.

With that said I've got an issue and I cannot for the life of me fix it, I'd read through the wiki, I've done countless google searches and read through so many similar posts but I cannot fix my issue.. >.<

RetroPie/ES had been working perfectly and I was gaming away.. then I decided to update everything. Since then my controller (xBox 360) refuses to work right.. I cannot get Hotkeys to work at all! I've tried remapping them more times than I'd like to admit, I've tried resetting the cfg file, I've tried using different controllers.. nothing works.

The hotkeys themselves work fine-I can use Alt+F2 etc on a keyboard and still Save State in-game just fine.. so they are working for the keyboard input.. just not for the controller!

I'm not sure if it's related but since updating- when I configure input from the ES Start menu the final button option is now 'Hotkey enable' (I'm using the xBox middle button for that) but all it seems to do is instantly jump into the RetroArch menu while in-game? I'm not sure if that's what it's actually meant to do.. I assumed it would just enable/disable hotkeys.

Any help really would be appreciated- I want my Pi running without the aid of a keyboard and right now that means I can't save/load and I can only exit a game going through the RetroArch menu which is a serious pain!

      Thanks!

@whitehyena to help you we need to take a look at these files from your system:

        • /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg - be sure to mask your retroachievements account info, if you have it on your .cfg file.

        • /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/YOUR_JOYSTICK_NAME.cfg

Paste their content in pastebin or something similar.
