for mame2003-plus on digital only turn analog off you only turn this on for analog controllers if your using them.

ie snes and joysticks use dpads (digital hat). analog off( this is the default mode)

you should do the following in settings
enable legacy mapping ( this is important when it needed for analog or games using analog controls even on a dpad)

in analog mode : directons are on axis 0 an axis 1 (lstick)

in analog mode off (dpad is used)

@santiagomoneta Which MAME emulator are you using ? If using one of the Libretro cores, try setting your gamepad as 'RetroPad with Analog' or map your joystick to the analog joystick of the RetroPad.

Help with Joystick Config and Understanding Retropie Controllers:

nope, it seems freeze.
And up in that menu, it appears the USB controller d PAd, but not the THT xxx (who is the joystick) so when i try to find it, im only able to see the Nintendo Retropad and the super nintendo buffalo retropad, but not the THT when i navigate with left and right (and none appears too).

Im able to see the THT in the menu of input that i referred in the other post
Under settings - INPUT - Input User 1 Binds

Is there a "manual" map in order to change it with a keyboard? where it supose to be that config file? only for fba
