When launching games the bottom left corner shows 3 detected controllers: 2x SNES (#1 + #2) + 1x Sony Computer Entertainment Wireless Controller (#0). The numbers #0-#2 seem to corresponde to the device type numbers in RetroArch's input configuration... not the port numbers.

When launching RetroPie and then RetroArch, the system information also shows up 2x SNES in ports #0 and #1 as well as one Sony Wireless controller in port #2.

But I have only 2x SNES connected (+ 1 USB keyboard).

The result is that e.g. in NES ROM games like "Mario Bros. (World)" don't recognize input from any of my 2 connected SNES controllers.

      What I already did:

      • re-configured my controllers in ES (which should setup them in RetroArch as well)
      • re-configured my controllers in RetroArch, e.g. max. 2 players, reset user binds [keymaps] and set all but controllers #1 and #2 to 'None' and saved the configuration
      • checked that there's only one retroarch.cfg in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg
      • checked that there's no extra ROM config in /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg (the file exists but has standard content only)
      • checked that there's no game specific config file in /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/nes/romname.cfg
      • Unplugged my USB keyboard
      • Rebooted the system

But still there's the Sony Wireless controller present in RetroArch's system information and the game is still not recognizing my controllers.

P.S. The SNES controllers do work fine in other ROMs like SNES.

Any ideas how I get rid of this Sony Wireless controller and why some games don't react?
