He would be, initially, salivating over that amount, however as we know in order to keep the donations coming in he can't actually finish any of his themes.
He has to continue to make empty promises of doing this & that, & every now then release a fix or minor update.
If he actually finishes any of the themes then why would anyone donate?
Its the same reason he doesnt want anyone taking his themes & adding to/improving them & then sharing them free of charge.
*** Before he gets me banned - I've still got those emails Ruck ;) ***
You really do have a problem and I think you need help.....
Please, enlighten me regarding these emails @DigitalMonkey considering I've had zero contact with you outside of these forums (for which I'm very grateful).
Not that it's any of your business what donations I receive I'm going to list every donation I've had in the hope it will finally shut you up - minus the names but anyone can easily verify this as I thanked every person who donated.

The themes represent months upon months of work, I began work on the themes 7 months ago and have worked on them consistently since then - do you seriously think that these donations would be the driving force keeping me creating the themes? It would be the equivalent of being paid fractions of a pence per hour if I was doing it for the donations - get a grip.
I do it because I enjoy making the themes and further more I enjoy sharing the work I've made with others.This is nothing more than an enjoyable hobby for me, I have enough problems in my life without dealing with vindictive bullies like yourself.

ok @ruckage i am sorry i seemed to have opened a wound, but would my donation interest you in the task of completing this theme and adding complete 4:3 option? as there aren't any proper arcade-worthy themes i am waiting on this one to finish my son's graduation gift of a neo-geo arcade. also i am looking to run a romset drectly from the main es menu without game list, i.e. instead on Nintendo being a link to the list of nintendo games, i want it to be persay TMNT and then go right into TMNT is this possible @ruckage as i have found NO resources to help me in the past few months
-
@ruckage i really hope this stuff doesnt discourage you. Some of us truly appreciate the work you have done.

We had that "thing" already once and I won't say much this time since I don't want to get banned.
I reported his post already.
Just keep doing what you are doing and ignore that background noise.Back to topic, yeah a 4:3 version would be very nice.

Thanks for the support, I appreciate it. -

Depends what your expectations are when you say 'completed'. I only ever planned to support NeoGeo and Capcom with this theme, though since then I've also planned to add a general arcade section as well possibly a default theme so it can at least support everything else.
Regarding 4x3, I can do that but it's not a simple case of changing some settings, I would have to do an entirely separate theme. I don't mind doing that but it will obviously take a bit time so it really depends on how quickly you need it. I'd also really need to know what resolution display you are using as that can affect things.Regarding launching directly into a games in ES, that's not possible - the carousel always goes directly to a gamelist, it's just how it works.

I scrolled through this thread a little too quickly and if I missed it I must apologise. However, is this theme available to download as it looks loads better than any other that I've seen. It's got that professional look about it and fits an arcade build very nicely. I've got a neo geo section on mine as well as an arcade classics, cps1 and cps2 so this would fit really well with my build.
-
Sorry, the downloads got a bit lost. I'll edit them into the first post so it's easy to find in future.
The theme only supports Neogeo and Capcom at the moment and it's not as simple to set up as most themes. You'll need the marquees to make this work as well. (replace your scraped marquees with the images in the marquee zip).

@ruckage awesome thanks

@ruckage sorry ruck, i guess i missed that reply in the shuffle, thats what i mean completed, the capcom, neo-geo and general arcade is perfect, as for the 4:3 info i am using 2 monitors on 2 different setups both support max res up to 1280 x1024. as for time frame... by end of october.
as for launching directly from ES, i guess ill have to use AM for that project.

Hi, I wondered if I could have some advice. I've copied your theme @ruckage and I've adapted it for my arcade build. I've changed it to show the box art when you scroll through each game, and then a fraction of a second later it loads up the video preview. However, for some reason my box art is maximised, so it fills the preview window. I'm not very good with themes, so I don't know where in the neo.xml file I have to change to get it not to maximise my artwork. For arcade classics I'm not too bothered, as it shows a screenshot and then a video preview, as I wasn't able to scrape every single game poster so I dropped the idea.
Also on a side note for some reason, all my wheel art seems to be really huge and some of them fill the entire width of my screen. My resolution is set to 1024 by 600, which is the max on my set up, i'm only using a 7 inch display. I did find some really nice looking marquees which I was going to use, but I had the same issue.

@ballboff
This is a very specific theme, it's only designed for landscape neogeo and Capcom arcade games using screenshots or video previews which are scaled to fill the window, it was never designed to show boxart. The whole look really relies on that preview window being filled.Regarding the wheel art/logos, did you use the wheel-art that I provided a link to? The theme is designed to work only with the wheel-art I provided which are all scaled to a set size to work with this theme- it's unlikely to work with scraped marquees.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
