Just updated to Retropie 4.2 and all the overlays and filters that I spent literally WEEKS setting up in MAME and other emulators have vanished. WTF?

Have gone through the in-game menus and there no longer seems to be any option to select the overlay files or the filters. The folders on the Pi that contained all the graphic files and shaders seem to be gone.

That is a HUGE, disastrous loss of functionality. Can we go back to 4.1, please?

@SpudsMcToole did you backup your build prior to updating? Where did you have all the folders you lost located at on the pi?

@TMNTturtlguy Fortunately I did, and seem to have gotten MOST of them back by copying them from the disk image into the Retroarch folder. But Jesus. What the hell sort of update trashes a whole bunch of folders and configurations without even warning you?

@SpudsMcToole there are warnings all over to back up your builds! Also, where are you storing all of these? There are certain folders that get overridden during updates. There are other folders like .emulationststion that do not. You should follow tutorials and save you custom work in folders that do not get overridden.
