lr-snes9x (not 2003/2005/2010) stopped working as of the latest update.

Just clarifying, lr-snes9x from optional packages. It was working great the last time I updated, which was around a month ago, but I updated it today and it simply goes to a black screen. The core loads and retroarch's menu is accessible but games never start, even when attempting to reset. The problem occurs in both binary and source builds.
Hardware: Pi 3
Power supply: Canakit 5v 2.5a
RetroPie Version: 4.2.12
Built from: RetroPie 4.2
How to replicate the problem: Update the RetroPie-Setup script, then update lr-snes9x under Manage optional packages in ether binary or source and launch any SNES rom using lr-snes9x as the default emulator. -

@maplestory It's been broken for over a month. I think it happened when they switched to version 1.54.1. I asked in here and was told it wasn't their problem so I made a thread in the official lr-snes9x github about it. The one that tried to help me couldn't reproduce my problem but it's really easy to do it-_-
https://pastebin.com/aHeHS08LHe asked me to try one of the automated builds from the libretro site but I get this error:

@buzz First post updated.
-
I debugged it - A fix will be submitted soon - https://github.com/libretro/snes9x/issues/61
I will do a quick workaround and rebuild binaries in the meantime.
-
Working binaries have been uploaded now.
-
I have submitted a workaround in the RetroPie-Setup module until it's fixed upstream for any source installs.

@buzz It works again, thank you so much! It's incredible how fast you guys are able to get things working properly again.
