@benmclean Yeah we will see that...in

I don't have any time to waste testing such a build, it doesn't even have 4k support, i would think if it can print the text document, it should be able to run at true 4K. let me know when that is available and then I might look into testing your build.

I'm confused, a PS4 Emulator on the Raspberry Pi? That won't happen unless pigs fly.
-
@itsnitro I would read through the thread in closer detail! Maybe a pig will fly by while you are reading it!
-
oh so its just printing a ps4 logo.

Here is the most dankest edit of the post I could do on this forum with the stuff you requested. I had to change the sarcastic font to an annoying italic slant + bold.

I've been working on a PS4 emulator for the RPi3 and so far I have a text document called ps4.txt that has the line " #ps4_emulator ". This is a big success for me and I would like to see if anyone could suggest any features to be added. Here are some features I have considered :
1. Have a PS4 logo come up when loading the text document
2. Ability to print text documentI've also thought about some experimental features but these might be a few days out:
1. Play PS4 games
2. Backwards compatibility with Commodore 64If i've missed anything crucial feel free to add to the list.

@pokeengineer now this is how everyone should format their posts. LMAO
PS4 EMULATOR COMING TO RETROPIE -
@trailjacker Great work with the text file. I'm curious; how exactly did you create the file? And also, how did you get the text in there? I'm guessing some 10.000 line Perl script, right? Or maybe you used one of the neural networks I keep hearing so much about?
Anyways, keep it up, looking forward to seeing PS4 fully implemented.

Before you think about ps4 emulation how about Original Xbox, PlayStation 2, dream cast (fully working), DS's, Wii to work as they are quite old now and Retropie is called Retropie for a reason, BECAUSE it plays RETRO games!!! :)
-
Omg this is so perfect for me, I KNEW that if the PS4 controller works on the Pi then the games would too! And as the ps3 controller works as well then it would be backward compatible! Awesome news indeedπ€©
-
But it is just not possible yet!
-
@retroprogrammer I see the joke is way above your head...
-
To be fair, it wasn't actually funny in the first place :-)
-
@fabio what he said ;)
-
@trailjacker Can someone help me with this? No matter how many times I try to load the document, the PS4 logo will not load, let alone print. The screen just goes black and then returns to Emulation Station. Has anyone else got this to work? Is there a BIOS that I need to put in the PS4 roms folder?
-
I am just confusedI am so confused @Hyruleslink are you actually trying to emulate ps4 on a RaspberryPi! -
@retroprogrammer the whole thread is a joke. Nobody is really trying to run ps4 on a pi. Or are they π
-
I know, I got it working, Its so fun!
-
and now i realize that it's a joke.
it only took me TWO MONTHS.
-
@itsnitro I don't know what you're talking about, the PS4 emulator is running smooth on my Pi3.
