I checked out a few of the Wikis and watched a couple of videos, but for the life of me I can't get the N64 controller to map properly.

All the buttons work fine in the EmulationStation menu, but when playing by a game, the buttons don't map right... there seem to be issues with the A and B buttons in particular.

I'm not a programmer and a total newbie when it comes to Retropie, so any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks!

@paulo75 You are not the only one. I am having the same problem. works great in EmulationStation but wrong mapping in the game. This only seems to be an issue for N64. My Snes and NES USB controllers work as expected. I have the same problem in retroarch on my PC. of course on my PC it is easy to change the mapping but it would mess up my NES and SNES controllers to do it on the PI. Since the problem happens on both I am guessing it is a retro arch issue but I don't know how to force the correct change with out messing up my other controllers.

Hey i had the same problem and i fixed it by

          1. Going into a n64 game
          2. Pressing select plus x on my keyboard
          3. Go to quick menu (might be something by a similar name not at home rn to check
          4. Go to controls?
          5. Configure ur controls
