Downloaded themes won't work properly.

Hello peeps! A fresh user here.
I just bought a Raspberry Pi 3 B with the 5.1V Raspberry Pi power supply. Made a case out of a broken NES (it looks awesome!) and now i want to install the Mini NES theme. I used this guide:
After i reboot the machine and apply the theme, the screen is just plain white, white background and black text, the font turns into some default font too. At first i thought this is the dreaded White Screen of Death but turned out it's not since the everything works like normal, just the theme is missing.
Themes downloaded from the built-in ES Themes work like a charm. Sadly the Mini NES theme isn't available in there.
Pi Model or other hardware: Pi3 B
Power Supply used: Raspberry Pi 5.1 2.5A Micro-USB
RetroPie Version Used: 4.2
Built From: retropie-4.2-rpi2_rpi3 from Retropie site
USB Devices connected: 2 generic chinese USB SNES Controllers
Controller used: a chinese SNES controller
Error messages received: None. Thanks in advance!

Oh, never mind. I'm an idiot. Turn out, the path to the theme went like this: opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/themes/es-theme-nes-mini-master/es-theme-nes-mini-master/the actual theme was here.
I fixed the path to opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/themes/es-theme-nes-mini-master/
Thanks anyway!

You do know you can just download the mini nes theme from the ESTheme menu and you also have to update your setup script as well and there is also a lot more other themes that is out as well that you can check out.
-
@muusi glad you sorted it out! Just for reference on memory management, if you run into troubles set VRAM to 80 inside ES.

I've tried geting this theme to work but no luck whatsoever 'i think 'cause i can't update setup script at all, it always shows me an error while trying to download the necessary files, either if it's from source or the other option available, can't remember (i'm at work now)
-
Might be unrelated. What error are you getting? Do you have the Pi connected to the internet? Firewall?
EDIT: if you don't get a readable error, you can get the logs from ~/RetroPie-Setup/logs, you'll need to decompress the file though.

@mahcneto Updating your setup script is only one source only because if you want the NES theme you need to update that then download the new themes in the ESTheme.
-
@Muusi Rename title to have "[FIXED]" at the beginning
