FBA keeps defaulting to pifba not lr-fbalpha
-
Hi all, I have a small problem with FBA at the moment on my arcade machine. I updated a few weeks ago to 4.2.13 and since then FBA emulation is getting screwed up.
After turning the Pi off and then on again, the default emulator for FBA is pifba. I don't want pifba, so I go into the runcommand menu and change the default emulator for FBA to lr-fbalpha, as this one has always worked very good for me. All is good, until a few restarts later and then system defaults to pifba again. No idea why, I don't change anything yet it changes the default emulator. Also it is not consistent with a restart. Sometimes it happens after a restart, sometimes it takes a few restarts.
I've updated the system to 4.2.16, core and emulators, but alas, no change. The error still occurs.
Details of my setup
Pi Model or other hardware: RP3
Power Supply used: original Pi one
RetroPie Version Used: 4.2.16
Built From: 4.1
USB Devices connected: iPac2
File: all of them
Emulator: FBA -
@evert Not sure why that's happening, but what's stopping you from uninstalling pifba? There is no reason to ever use it on a pi3. Maybe reset permissions too?

@darksavior good idea mate, I'll uninstall it tonight. How do I reset permissions?
-
@evert In retropie setup, Config/tools, resetromdirs.

@darksavior thanks mate!
