@kafka_esq
I've experimented with an internal glow effect already, ultimately though it will be done how I feel looks best and only if it doesn't affect performance. -
Here's how it currently looks if you're interested. As I said though it's not guaranteed yet as I need to make sure performance isn't affected on the pi.

Yes, it will be ported.
Actually If anyone could give me hints on how to compile the Recalbox version of EmulationStation for Windows it would speed up porting as it's much quicker and easier for me to make changes on my main pc. I did try compiling it myself but I don't really know what I'm doing and get constant errors. @jdrassa perhaps you have some ideas as I know you compile the retropie version regularly. I followed this guide by @fieldofcows .
-
@ruckage That guide is essentially what I follow. I can't say for sure because I haven't tried, but I doubt that the Recalbox version could be compiled for Windows. They have included a lot of system specific stuff into their version like WiFi configuration and system updates that are unlikely to work on Windows.

Thanks, that may explain it then. I did manage to get the retropie version to compile after some trial and error but just couldn't figure out why the the recalbox version wouldn't compile.
Guess I'll have to do the work by updating the files on PC over the network and then switching hdmi inputs on my monitor - not as convenient but there doesn't seem to be any other way. -
@ruckage Wow, looks great!

Made an alternate ports icon & logo.
-
@ruckage will there be an resolution support for 800x480 for Official 7inch touch screen?
-
And one for kodi...
(okay i'm done) :)
-
@ruckage so still no resolution support for 800x480 for Official 7inch touch screen?
-
@kafka_esq would it be possible to make one for the supergrafx as well?

No there still isn't any support for that resolution and I don't know when or if I'll support it. It's not a simple change to make and requires a lot of work to add as it's a different aspect ratio and I'm not sure enough people are using these displays with retropie to warrant the effort.

Hi, I'm new to this theme of changing the background and that thing of emulationstation, and I want to know how to install this theme to my Raspberry pi.
Also great job doing this theme, its incredible.Thanks.
-
@danrdiaz The theme is available in the RetroPie system, through the ES Themes menu, you can install from the list and then choose it in the Emulationstation menus.

@mitu Tnx

Would it be possible to include a ScummVM icon of some sort? I would love to make this my new default theme, but I would need ScummVM not to be a blank. Love you all!

Hey, man. Since @A12C4's GridView just got finished and pushed to EmulationStation's
master (a.k.a. its development) branch, are you going to implement it into your themes? If you wanted to, the "THEMES.md" file on the ES repo has already been updated with the new GridView syntax.Thanks.
Sure will, I've been working on it the past week. I didn't realise it had been officially released, that's good news. Expect an update soon (probably not until next weekend though as I have family visiting).

Awesome! That's wonderful news!
