lr-fbalpha2012 displays 4:3 format cps2 games instead of 16:9
-
Hi,
Since my last upgrade of retropie, my CPS2 games (like d&d shadow over mystaria) displays on 4:3 format. I want to use "native" aspect (16:9 like on hd tv screen).
I tried to compile latest version of lr-fba2012 (with retropie setup) but it doesn't change anything.
I don't see any info/issues while googling. The video ouput is correct with pifba, but i don't like much this program.
Any missing option?

@hanxhx I'm using lr- fbalpha and its "core"aspect ratio is also 4:3. You can always manually change it to 16:9 or anything else in the retroarch menu when you hit select+ x.

why use lr-fba2012? lr-fbalpha is more up to date.

@dankcushions my roms only works with lr-fba2012 :(

I found a workaround by setting "aspect_ratio_index = 19" in config file.

By the way, video signal on cps2 arcade machine was indeed 16:9, but the rendering was on a 4:3 screen. Rendering cps2 games as 16:9 is a bug, it was fixed on lr-fbalpha in late 2015, and was backported to lr-fbalpha2012 a few months ago.
About using the old lr-fbalpha2012 because you got the wrong roms, why not update your roms instead ? If you buy the wrong tire for your car, do you buy a new car or do you go back to get the right tire ? I can understand using lr-fbalpha2012 on a raspberry in a few specific cases (i'm mostly thinking about svg and killbld here), but lr-fbalpha is overall better because a lot of bugfix and compatibilty was added in the last 5 years.
